Terms of Use

These terms describe what a Used Car Check report can and cannot do. Last reviewed 25 July 2026.

Informational service

Reports are informational guidance based on what you submit, maintained model information and, where available, DVSA records. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness or that every risk will be identified.

Your checks remain essential

You are responsible for verifying the advert, seller, vehicle identity and documents. The service is not a substitute for seeing and test-driving the vehicle, a professional inspection or independent legal or mechanical advice.

Unless a clearly identified third-party product supplies it under its own terms, the report does not guarantee finance, theft, insurance write-off, ownership or plate-change history.

Availability and acceptable use

The service may be interrupted, changed or withdrawn, including when a third-party data service is unavailable. Do not misuse the service, attempt to bypass limits, interfere with its operation or use it unlawfully.

Content and third-party links

The website’s original content and software are protected by intellectual-property law. Third-party links, including affiliate links, lead to services with their own terms and privacy policies. We may earn commission from marked commercial links; this never changes the generated score.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, UsedCarCheck.uk is not responsible for losses caused by relying solely on an incomplete or inaccurate report or by a third-party service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or affects your statutory rights.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Consumers retain any mandatory rights and jurisdiction protections that apply where they live.

UsedCarCheck.uk uses DVSA vehicle data but is not affiliated with or endorsed by DVSA or the UK government.
